Guelph Tree Planting to Celebrate Earth Day
April 26 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
FREE!
Join us to plant a new forest in Guelph near Earth Day! We’ll be planting a wide variety of native trees such as oaks, sugar maples, and shrubs like serviceberries that are popular with pollinators and are well suited to restoring our natural heritage system. This site will become part of a future pollinator flyway so we are adding a native wildflowers too to provide pollinator resources all season long.
Rain or Shine! All ages! No previous experience required!
Parking (including for bikes) and site access at 335 Laird Road
Trees, shovels, mulch, pails, and planting instruction provided.
Wear boots and gloves for your comfort. Remember: There is no bad weather, just bad clothing.
This first community tree planting event of 2025 is a partnership between the Rotary Club of Guelph, the City of Guelph, Trees For Guelph, and Pollination Guelph.
Stay hydrated while you plant thanks to the City of Guelph’s Water Wagon; bring your refillable water bottle and help reduce plastic waste. Delicious snacks and meals can be purchased at the on-site Fo’ Cheezy food truck.
Washroom facilities will be available on site.
High school students can log volunteer hours. Please bring your log sheets for us to sign.
