October 19th Community Planting – Eastview Community Park
October 19 @ 9:30 am - 12:30 pm
Last planting event for 2024. From 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM for Community Planting Days. We plant rain or shine or (hopefully not) snow.
This is an all ages event. Everyone is welcome. Bring a friend or your whole family. Drop by for as long as you can. Plant one tree or plant them all. No previous tree planting experience required! Planting demonstrations run continuously all morning. Come for as little or as long as you can. Learn all the techniques to plant for high survival rates. Register on site on the day at the welcome table or RSVP on our social media events page.
Please dress in layers so you are comfortable whatever the weather. We recommend a hat, long pants, high socks, sturdy footwear. Bring your gardening gloves and your own full refillable water bottle. If you have a favourite shovel, bring it too. If you don’t have any gear, we have enough shovels and buckets for everyone.
High school students looking for volunteer hours are invited to bring their log sheet to any Saturday plant.
Without our partners and financial supporters all this exciting work would not happen. The City of Guelph’s support is fundamental to the success of TREES FOR GUELPH and we are a participant in the City’s Urban Forest Management initiative.
